Finding the right path
The Purpose
To raise at least £1,000 for the Bedford Child Development Centre.

The Outcome
Success! The route was completed in 5 days by the whole team, raising a magnificent £2,262 for the CDC. In the words of the team:

“A very successful trip. We raised over £2,000 for the CDC, we blended very well as a team, and we walked through a great variety of wonderful countryside. Those who had not walked great distances before naturally found it challenging. Those who had, found it interesting, but it’s fair to say that everyone enjoyed it. One or two found it more painful than others, but all agree the pain was worth it to raise money for such a good cause.
Still looking remarkably fresh at the end of the walk!
What’s happening to the money?
Presenting cheque to Friends of CDCThe cheque was presented by Barry Stonham (Operations Director, Wyboston Lakes Ltd) to Ken Williams (Chairman, Friends of CDC) on 29 November. The majority of the sponsorship money will be used to buy more books, videos, CDs and leaflets for the CDC Information Room (see Current Projects).

Thank you!
Everyone at the CDC and the Friends of the CDC would like to thank the special people from Wyboston Lakes Ltd who so willingly gave their time, energy and enthusiasm (not to mention skin from their feet) to raise such a wonderful sum of money. We are very grateful to everyone involved – the money raised will make a real difference to the families who use the CDC.
